Learning Analytics also provides the means to allow individual student requirements to be identified on the basis of their competencies and patterns of behaviour rather than on assumptions about who they may be.<\/p>\n

In this White Paper Martin and Mary-Ann focus on how Learning Analytics can be used to replace traditional Higher Education proxies and be used to identify and support at-risk students without the use of prejudice identity indicators.<\/p>\n

The study sets focus in South Africa where previous academic development has been centered on the consequences of apartheid segregation and a solution to inform fairer admissions through reliable estimates of potential rather than on assumptions of deficit.<\/p>\n
