In recognition of students who stand out from the crowd, GetSmarter\u00a0Notable Achievers <\/em>campaign highlights a top-performing student each week.<\/p>\n Rene\u00e9 is busy with the UCT Supply Chain Management online short course<\/a> and has been chosen by our Student Success Team for being the top achiever in her latest module and for maintaining consistency throughout her learning experience.<\/p>\n Here’s what she had to say about her experience:<\/p>\n How has the course benefited your career and\/or life?<\/strong><\/p>\n I recently changed jobs from being an operations coordinator to a warehouse manager, so the course has greatly benefited me in the transition process. In addition, I thoroughly enjoy expanding my knowledge in areas I feel will benefit my future career.<\/p>\n What were your concerns before enrolling on the course? How were your concerns alleviated and why?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n My concern with this course was that it was all done online –\u00a0I have never done any learning or studying through online correspondence. My fear going into this course was that if I had any questions, would they be answered and how long would the response take?\u00a0This was quickly alleviated when I posted a question and my question was answered in a very short period of time.<\/p>\n What aspects did you enjoy about learning online with GetSmarter?<\/strong><\/p>\n I thoroughly enjoyed the small group discussions, it was great being able to offer my views to fellow students as well as gain more knowledge through people’s personal corporate experiences. I feel learning through people’s experiences is such a great practical way to see the theory in action.<\/p>\n Are you doing this course for personal or professional objectives? If so what are they and have you felt you have been able to achieve them with this course?<\/strong><\/p>\n I did this course for both personal and professional objectives. Personal objectives being that I wanted to expand my knowledge, I love to learn something every day. I feel education is such a great gift and a person can never stop learning.<\/p>\n Professional objective to help me gain beneficial knowledge to become the best warehouse manager I can be, for the benefit of both myself and the company.<\/p>\n Our Student Success Team identified you as being an outstanding student. Why do you think you are a Notable Achiever and how do you continue to do well on the course?<\/strong><\/p>\n I think I am a Notable Achiever because of my application of my experiences to the theory taught in every module as well as keeping my overall module percentages above a certain average.
