The main purpose of a Video Producer is to create engaging and valuable video content that supports learning outcomes and marketing KPI's with a focus on quality, efficiency and innovation.
Manage and produce all assigned videos to the highest standard, as well as support Senior and Lead Video Producers as secondary Video Producer on high priority projects. The production of videos involves executing all stages of the production process, from pre-production (scripting, scheduling, planning), through production (filming in-studio or on-location) and post-production (media management, editing, graphic and animation conception and briefing).
* Though the below responsibilities and requirements are relevant for mid-level experience, we would also be interested in junior and more senior profiles, depending on current business needs.
Perform ad hoc, course and marketing video production tasks to best ability (Minimal supervision needed). Pre-production (scripting, scheduling, planning), through production (filming in-studio or on-location) and post-production (media management, editing, graphic and animation conception and briefing).
Produce content of industry-leading quality
Effective, clear and professional communications with project stakeholders within and without 2U.
Communicate with outside stakeholders in-person confidently and effectively.
Good interpersonal skills and relationships with VP team and larger project teams.
Manage timelines and deadlines of assigned projects.
Participate in international filming trips.
Edit educational and marketing scripts (semi-supervised), as well as conceptualise complex graphics and basic interactive elements.
Present and share new trends, findings and technologies with the team (brainstorms).
Drive and implement, along with Lead/Senior VPs, new and innovative practices and techniques.
Flag improvement areas with manager.
Engage in team training to further personal & departmental development.
Informal guidance/mentorship in area of expertise for juniors.
Lead specific training sessions in line with expertise (Manager's discretion).
Formal mentorships (Manager's discretion).

Required competencies and experience
Demonstrable skill in all aspects of video production (Shooting/Lighting/Editing/Grading).
Excellence in at least one (Shooting/Lighting/Editing/Grading).
Proof of conceptual ability (Scripting/Ideation).
Proof of minor conceptual experience (Scripting/Ideation).
Professional written and verbal communication.
