Key Role and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the regional internal communications strategy and team leadership
  • Drive Cape Town culture and employee engagement through effective internal messaging, events and calendar rhythms
  • Act as an internal communications business partner to senior leadership team

Education and Experience:

  • Relevant degree in Communications, Public Relations or Brand Management
  • 10+ years work experience
  • 6+ years experience in a communications or public relations environment; strong internal and executive communications experience preferred
  • 3+ years experience in events management
  • Experience managing people and teams
  • Deep knowledge of and experience with internal communications, change management and employee engagement strategies
  • Ability to take initiative to build strong, productive and trusting relationships with all levels of an organization, from senior executives to front line workers, with an eye to call on those relationships at important junctures
  • Experience working closely with a corporate HR team is advantageous
  • Project and brand management experience beneficial
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.

Working Conditions:

Availability to work overtime and outside of normal South African working hours may be required, as well as the possibility of local and international travel.
