Summary of Job:

A Senior Paid Search Specialist is a highly experienced PPC expert who specialises in managing, analysing and implementing effective optimisation strategies. Their primary function is to deliver against business and marketing goals within the GetSmarter Paid Media team within the search platform.

The role requires a proven record and excellent understanding of Paid Search and SEO principles, analysis skills and has at least 3+ years in the Digital Advertising Industry.

Key Role and Responsibilities: 

  • Support the development and execution of the Paid Search strategy in order to generate quality leads. This includes campaign building, optimisation, testing, monitoring, planning, calendar management, budget management, platform selection, implementing RLSA strategies and reporting.
  • Seek ways to improve effectiveness and efficiency within the search team in order to aid revenue growth.
  • Work with other team members to ensure that the cross channel spend mix between Display, Paid Social and Search teams is analysed and defined to achieve maximum ROI across the portfolio’s on a regular basis.
  • Work with Brand Strategists to create and optimise effective ads and landing pages for SEM campaigns.
  • As a Senior Specialist in the Search team you will assist your HOD with training interns/junior team members, reviewing their campaigns and helping them to achieve their KPI’s.
  • Conduct regular spend, geo and overall campaign performance analysis using tools such as Tableau, AdWords and Excel and report on findings.

Education and Experience:

  • 3 - 5 years experience
  • AdWords Certified
  • Doubleclick experience is advantageous
  • Business / Marketing degree preferable

Management Responsibilities:

Assist The HOD to review campaigns built by junior team members within the Search Team as well as assist your HOD in managing the day to day technical team tasks and individual KPIs across the team.

The Senior Paid Search Specialist would have the opportunity to become a Team Lead if she/he demonstrated the leadership and functional requirements as laid out by the HOD.
