Summary of job:

The main purpose of this position is to collaborate with the fellow SEO Strategists on the development and implementation of organic strategies and in order to generate qualified leads that result in registrations and paid students.

2U is looking for an experienced SEO Strategist who has verifiable experience in SEO. The successful candidate will work across the various facets of search engine optimisation – both strategy conceptualization and execution.

Applicants should be able to successfully convert SEO theory into actionable recommendations that result in an increase in organic market share as a lead generation initiative. Additionally, seasoned skills in using data to drive innovation is key.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help define SEO Strategy and points of refinement
  • Assist in creating and managing SEO projects to push strategy forward
  • Help track and audit digital assets for technical efficiency in line with Google’s algorithm
  • Drive fixes required in line with improving technical efficacy
  • Work with HQ on projects to increase university partner equity
  • Support university teams with data based research on markets and provide insights that enables them to increase organic market share
  • Keyword research and SERP analysis
  • Competitor Analysis
  • Monitor and report back on portfolio campaign performance
  • Improve the efficiency of portfolio marketing components geared towards increasing organic search traffic
  • Provide reports to our internal stakeholders
  • Advise on content optimisation
  • Review content against pre-determined goals
  • Help define Inbound link building campaigns and activities
  • Help drive innovation in SEO through testing and experimentation
  • CRO on organic assets

Education and experience:

  • 3 - 5+ years of SEO experience.
  • Deep understanding of SEO information architecture
  • Understanding of content management systems, HTML, business strategy and spreadsheet management is an advantage
  • Experience assessing search bot accessibility and providing solutions across search engines for both desktop and mobile bots
  • Excellent understanding of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills
  • Data analysis and quantification skills - able to analyse the performance of campaigns and gather insights from this analysis to improve future performance.
