We are looking for a forward-thinking Technical Operations Data Analyst to help drive and lead business intelligence initiatives, mainly focusing on customer and operational analytics. This newly created position will report to the Senior Director, Technical Customer Support and will be responsible for innovating the way we use data to understand and optimize our relationship with our customers and operational processes.  Individuals need to be thoughtful and organized problem solvers with the ability to understand business problems and systems, and a drive to roll up their sleeves to build solutions. We are a team of life-long learners, and expect analysts to share in our eagerness to further develop their knowledge and skill-set. Communication to both technical and non-technical audiences, verbally and in writing is critical.

Key Role and Responsibilities:

  • Build/maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics that equip the Technical Platform Success organization to scale successfully and provide client-facing information.
  • Conduct impactful analysis characterized by strong data governance, technique transparency, and extensive communication.
  • Use data visualization, reports and data-driven presentations to present digestible conclusions and recommendations to top decision makers, so that business strategies can be designed around them.
  • Monitor existing metrics, develop/propose new metrics, and develop a deep understanding of the business through daily data analysis activities.
  • Act as a translator between business and technical teams, by consulting on the data available or feasibility of acquiring data.
  • Build client-facing reports requested on an impromptu basis focused on specific customers with some analysis on conclusions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimal experience in the Data industry / University Graduate
  • Specific qualifications or technical skills
    • A Bachelor's degree (Stats, Engineering, Business Science preferred)
    • 3+ years experience in data analysis and business intelligence
    • Proficiency in SQL
    • Proficiency in R or Python is advantageous
    • Experience with a reporting tool, such as Tableau, is advantageous
