We are on the lookout for passionate Ruby on Rails Engineers to assist with the rewrite of the GetSmarter marketing Website!

We want to meet YOU!


  • 3+ years software development experience.
  • Ruby on Rails experience a must.
  • Our tech stack: Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, containerised on AWS infrastructure.  CMS - Comfortable Mexican Sofa and Spree ecommerce integrations.


  • 3 to 6 month availability of at least 20 hours a week.
  • Technical engineering contributions to the new GetSmarter Marketing Website.
  • We are agile: participation in all weekly Sprint activities – including, but not limited to:
    • Daily stand-ups on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays (9:30 – 10:00am), to raise and discuss possible stucks.
    • Bi-weekly task estimations and Sprint Planning on Fridays (10:30 – 11:00am).
    • Bi-weekly Sprint Retro on Fridays (11:00 – 11:30am).
  • Participation in Sprint activities to take place via Google Hangouts, Slack used for day to day communication. 
  • Work will be time and material based, following agile practices.
  • Development needs to be done on a 2U provided Macbook.
