The rapid growth and volatility of the cryptoasset and digital currency markets have captured the attention of individual investors, media, governments, regulators, financial services institutions and businesses across the world. In such a new space, it can be difficult to make sense of the different cryptocurrencies out there, and what they actually do.

This online LSE course will provide you with the knowledge and frameworks to understand cryptocurrencies. You will learn about the functional value of exchanges and wallets, and the mechanics of an ICO (Initial Coin Offering). You’ll also be equipped with an understanding of the underlying theory and digital infrastructure behind cryptoassets and cryptocurrencies.

In this online cryptocurrency course, you’ll learn from industry pioneers and global thought leaders, in addition to the renowned LSE academics who developed the course, all whilst building your global business network and earning a certificate from LSE.

During this course you will be provided with the information, knowledge and frameworks to deepen your understanding of blockchain technologies and cryptocurrencies - how they operate and the implications for business, the economy and society. You will not be given cryptocurrency investing advice, or investment or financial advice of any nature.
