While blockchain exploration was initially reserved for firms operating in the financial industry, the potential of blockchain technology is being realised by all sectors, including the likes of energy, telecoms and pharmaceuticals.

Recognising the need to adapt corporate strategies to deal with the impact blockchain technology will have on the future of business, Saïd Business School, University of Oxford has launched a new digital open enrolment programme on blockchain integration and regulation, the Oxford Blockchain Strategy Programme.

The Oxford Blockchain Strategy Programme cohesively integrates relevant information on blockchain for business leaders and innovators by showcasing best use cases, value propositions, and implementation strategies in the blockchain industry.

This Oxford Blockchain Strategy Programme is still being developed. The names and nature of modules may vary, however the programme outcomes and deliverables will remain unchanged.

The Oxford Blockchain Strategy Programme is lead by a powerful team of global experts who share their knowledge in the form of industry insights, discussions, videos and interviews. You’ll receive blockchain training and insights from Programme Co-convenors, who guide the design of the programme content and share their knowledge throughout; a Blockchain Expert and Programme Instructors, who provide case studies and industry-specific content throughout the course of this blockchain programme; and Guest Experts, who share their industry-specific applications and understanding of blockchain.

Prof Nir Vulkan


Professor Nir Vulkan is an Associate Professor of Business Economics at Saïd Business School and a Fellow of Worcester College, both at the University of Oxford. He is a leading authority on e-commerce and market design, and on applied research and teaching on hedge funds.

David Shrier


David Shrier is a futurist, author, and Associate Fellow at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. He has driven over $8.5 billion of growth initiatives for various Fortune 1000 companies, and has served as CEO or COO/CFO for seven privately-funded companies.

Meltem Demirors


Meltem is the Director of Development at Digital Currency Group (DCG), a firm focused on building and supporting bitcoin and blockchain companies by leveraging its insights, network, and access to capital. In her role, Meltem leads the team that drives growth, network, and strategy across a portfolio of 100 portfolio companies across 27 countries, dozens of strategic investors, three operating subsidiaries, and DCG’s corporate partners and leading academic institutions.

These Instructors contribute to the programme by providing case studies and industry-specific content and information.


Prof Teppo Felin


Teppo Felin is a Professor of Strategy at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford and the Director of the Oxford Diploma in Strategy and Innovation. His research focuses on the origins of organisational capabilities and markets, the microfoundations of strategy, decision-making, and innovation in decentralised multi-agent systems.

Prof Alex Sandy Pentland


Alex Pentland is a Visiting Professor of Management Science at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and holds a triple appointment at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He has been a member of the Advisory Boards for Google, Nissan, Telefonica, Tencent, and a variety of start-up firms, and for several years he co-led the World Economic Forum Big Data and Personal Data initiatives.

Earn blockchain certification in the form of a certificate of attendance from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford as recognition of the industry-leading competencies you’ve developed and blockchain training you’ve received over the course of this blockchain programme, and use it to set yourself apart as a future-minded strategic business innovator.

Certificates are issued in your legal name upon successfully completing a programme. In order to earn your certificate, you must meet the stipulated requirements for programme completion. The visual representation of the certificate here serves as an exemplar, and may be subject to change at the discretion of the University.

All certificate costs, including packaging and international delivery, are included in the programme fee.
