Bassamboo's research interests lie in the areas of service systems, revenue management and information sharing. His current research involves designing flexible service systems with a focus on capacity planning and effects of parameter uncertainty. Bassamboo has a PhD in operations, information and technology from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and his renowned work within the industry has appeared in numerous leading journals.

Jan A. Van Mieghem

Harold L. Stuart Professor of Managerial Economics and Professor of Operations, Kellogg School of Management

Van Mieghem received his PhD in business and MSEE from Stanford University, and holds an electrical engineering degree from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. His research focuses on product, service and supply chain operations, and studies both strategy and execution. He is the past editor of the operations and supply chain area of Operations Research and currently serves on the editorial board of the top professional journals in operations. He is the author of over 50 academic articles published in the leading international journals, and of two books: one on operations management and the other on operations strategy.
